Minecraft Release 2012

I have heard that Minecraft will be coming exclusively to the Xbox Network, sometime in 2012. I love the PC version of this game, but I am not sure if it is going to be enjoyable on a console. What are your thoughts on this?

I am excited about the upcoming release of Minecraft, but I fear what bringing the game to a console might do. If they make us pay for every little upgrade, it is really going to put me off from playing. I just do not want my creativity to be stifled!

What is minecraft? It sounds like something fun but I've never played it before. It's a computer game but not a game for a console yet? Tell me more please- you have peaked my interest!
