Xbox 360 Advice on Fighting games

So I've decided I wanted to try to go deeper into the fighting genre, and I'd like some suggestions.
In the 360, the only four fighting games I've played were: Tekken 6, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (which I both love), Smackdown vs RAW 2007 (love it as well) and WEE 13 (not so much).
What are the fighting games you'd recommend?
I'm open to suggestions

Try the hyper violent Mortal Kombat. It's an enjoyable romp that would leave you mesmerized. You could also try Fight Night Champion which is a superb fighting game. And of course, don't forget to try Street Fighter IV.

You could try the ultra fast paced Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Persona 4 Arena. They are my favorite fighting games, but they are very different from the ones mentioned in your post. They are 2D (MvC3 has 3D graphics but plays on a 2D plane while P4A uses 2D art) and are super fast paced and have a bigger reliance on combos. Persona 4 Arena is very easy to get into, though. It has a nice but short tutorial explaining all of the mechanics and the controls are pretty damn solid and the special inputs are simple enough.

Persona 4 Arena also has a story mode, which is kind of a sequel to the PS2 JRPG Persona 4. Doesn't spoil much from the RPG, though, so you could play P4A and then the RPG. You would be confused by the story and wouldn't know or care about the characters, though, which would make it not as good. But yeah, there's good single player value from P4A. UMvC3 has no real single-player content other than Arcade Mode and a craptastic "Mission" Mode which is you just trying to do stupid combos.

Persona 4 Arena is my favorite fighting game ever. (But I'm a Shin Megami Tensei fan, and Persona 4 is part of that series)
