Looks like amazon is out of stock i have to wait tell december to get my xbox one i pre ordered it to late any ideas how fast its going to sell at retailers?

Very fast. It depends on how many ship, but they're always tightly controlling those numbers so they're all but certain to sell out for a while. If you didn't pre-order, you're either going to have to wait a considerable amount of time or stand in line all night outside a retailer to get it. Not really worth it to me, but then it's up to you. I hate dealing with crowds, which is why I decide way ahead of time whether I'm even going to bother (hint: I'm not).

A Little late now to find one so i'm not all that surprised. Waiting for the ebay fiasco to start. I'm really curious to see who actually gets their preorders and who doesn't.

The last one Amazon had for sale had a ship date of 12/31, so I am "assuming" the next batch would not ship until mid January or later.

I wonder when preordering first started as I preordered on 6/11 so I hope I am near the beginning.

I'm sure you are... Although, depending on the store, it may not matter. Might be first come/first serve.

Take my advise, try getting one at Best Buy. They have an exclusive contract now with both Sony amd Microsoft on haveing the most stuff out of all places like Target, Walmart, etc. So got wait in line and you will probably be lucky.

I preordered mine from Best Buy, I didnt want to rely on delivery... amazon screwed me over on pre order of Halo4... didnt arrive on time, it shipped on release day. So instead of enduring that again, I rather wait in line at midnight. I preordered mine when Best Buy opened more Day One preorders. Maybe they still have more? I know they increased allotments last month.

I talk to one of the managers allt he time at my local BB and he told me that Best Buy went to Sony and Microsoft DIRECTLY and pretty much told them if they want to keep a healthy relationship they want to have the biggest supply in retail. So they are getting the most out of accessories, consoles, and games. He said they will be able to supply 2 EXTRA controllers per console. Thats how much they are getting. So he said they WILL have some consoles for non-preordrs. But...lie I said..this is at my BB

That is good info because I will be looking for a 2nd controller.

Something I just found.

Midnight launches

Best Buy and GameStop will be hosting midnight launches for both consoles, and Best Buy claims it will have limited stock for those who didn’t pre-order a unit. Best Buy has had limited, non-pre-order stock with consoles in the past (it was the easiest place to secure a non-reserved launch PSP in a big city, for instance), so the big box chain will be your best bet for a November 15 console.

GameStop, on the other hand, is notorious for not having enough stock regardless of the company’s claims — even for those who pre-ordered. Of course, this is a case-by-case basis, but everyone has known a friend who works or has worked at GameStop at one point who claims that all of the non-reserved units get snatched up and auctioned by store employees. Consult Best Buy’s PS4 midnight launch locator and Xbox One midnight launch locator to maximize your chances.

If you can manage it, the best strategy is always to find the most out-of-the-way store you can, and get there as early as possible. If you live in a large metropolitan area, a midnight launch is going to require a lot of dedication; you may need to travel quite far and take off work the following day so you can travel back.

U have a link for the BB having limited consoles?

Great to see the hype live on in all of the online gamers. Not everyone has access to stores so Amazon is a good alternative. Also, I assume people will get their systems even earlier in the day when they get them Amazon purchased.

Microsoft told NBC News that while the company "will be able to fulfill all official pre-orders and will have units available at retail" in the console's 13 launch markets on Nov. 22, it can't promise much after that.

"Based on early demand projections we are already anticipating that Xbox One will be sold out this holiday," a Microsoft spokesperson wrote in an emailed statement. "We are encouraging consumers interested in Xbox One to pre-order now or shop early as we anticipate selling every unit we deliver to retail this holiday."

Cool thanx :D Just wanted to read it for myself. Thats crazy about the 2014 article though!

I just hope Amazon, where I preordered, did not oversell like the one article says Gamestop does sometimes.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, you have to be fast in regards to getting new game systems. Most folks purchased their pre-order months ago. The eleventh hour is always iffy.
