Hi everyone, sorry if this was posted about in the past, I couldn't find a previous thread.

I bought an Xbox One a couple of days ago and finally set up the Verizon FiOS app and some other TV streaming services, such as comedy central, ESPN, MTV, and VH1. I have cable services through Verizon FiOS already, but I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be charged extra for streaming through these apps. I contacted both Xbox and Verizon customer service, but they were both completely useless.

Thanks in advance!

i cant say 100% in fisio but from my experiance with time warner cable..

with time warner you had an account that linked you to what package"digital" you downloaded the tv app and it basically worked the same way tv did. no extra charge..

i would say as long as you have the verion fisio subscription/contract you will be ok.. as you put in your email/paswoord or whatever account you created with verizon and it basically links the xb1 to that account... they always put a warning about they are not responsible for extra fees(usually associated with internet) basically if you go over your cap of data allowence they are not responsible but they put that with every app/download/game that you buy digitally...

i would love to have a digital tv/app option i miss the twc app so much it worked so well on 360

Thanks for the response! I had a feeling they didn't add on extra fees, but you never know. Hopefully they bring back that TWC app. I wonder why they scraped it.

its not scrapped its still on my 360 it just never got ported over...

tv/app is sooooo nice.. one it utilizes digital feed so any channel that is 1080 is no need to find the hd ones... and the built in guide is nice.. i loved the twc one.. it was pictures and super easy to use.. only thing you miss is the local channels i guess but to me i dont watchl ocal news and that so i didn't care...

I have used the Fios app for some time now and have not seen any additional charges on my bill.

I'm not sure about FIOS but I know with HBO Go, you're not charged extra. It's just a situation where you can either use it because you're an HBO subscriber or you can't use it at all.
