Xbox 360 Batman: Arkham Origins Announced!

Prepare to go back in time to the beginnings of the Dark Knight fight for justice!

Just announced is BATMAN: ARKHAM ORIGINS - the third game in the popular series.

This time though, Rocksteady (the creators of Arkham Asylum and Asylum City) will not be behind this title, instead handing the reigns over to Warner Montreal.

The game will take place before Batman: Arkham Asylum and will document a time when the Dark Knight was relatively young and encountering Gotham's various supervillains for the first time. We know one of these supervillians will be Deathstroke, as shown on Game Informer's cover for their upcoming issue.

The lead designer of Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype, Eric Holmes, will serve as creative director on the game, which Warner Montreal hopes will “capture the look and feel of the Arkham-verse."

Wow, the screens look awesome! The first Arkham was a great game, can't wait for the new one!! I hope it's going to be awesome!

That is definitely to look forward to! I haven't played Arkham City yet, to my regret, but Arkham Asylum was awesome! While it did have some shortcomings, like the final battle with The Joker being a.......joke, it was definitely a tremendous title for all comic book fans and it was filled to the brim with goodies for both new and old fans.
What I'm looking most forward to is seeing some of the more obscure villains, not that Deathstroke is obscure, but he definitely isn't very represented in games and popular media outside of comics.

Looks cool, even if i was expecting the sequel to Arkham City. It was left out in the open and it had various hints that it would receive a sequel... maybe next time?

Even so, screenshots look good, let's hope the gameplay is solid.

I have never played any of the other Batman games, but I llke how they keep evolving the story. I will have to consider looking into these games more now! Love how Xbox has grown over the years!

I hope that this game would live up to the standards of the first two games. I loved Arkham Asylum. It had great graphics and a dark story. The gameplay was top notch too. It made me feel like I was the Dark Knight. It's the best super hero video game series IMO and Arkham Origins better not spoil it.

Looks good! But... I haven't even played Asylum yet! Sooooooooo, yeah... I gotta play the previous games before I can get hyped.
