I enjoyed my time with the game, and I can see it grabbing a rabid cult audience. I’d recommend it to anyone who can relax their expectations a bit, particularly when it comes to the voice recognition.

To make matters worse, the game encourages you to interact via headset, but the spotty speech-recognition system frequently misinterpreted our commands and confused ambient sounds for random obscenities

I seem to like a lot of games that get mediocre reviews, but I absolutely loved this game. It's like Vanquish's slower paced brother. Shooting robots strategically, aiming at their limbs as every piece of armor crumbles off is simply so entertaining. The fact that the story is actually really good, and you can really connect with the characters really helps. You can also change the outcome of the ending, as well as the fates of all your comrades - kind of like a mini Mass Effect. Terrific game, check it out!
