Xbox 360 Campaign, don't you think the start is long and boring?

I never fully started playing the Halo: Reach campaign, all because of the starting point, it talks for about an hour before it actually allows me to press a button, even after that, it wouldn't allow me to actually start playing, so I eventually gave up trying and just went on to play another game.

Is this just me being picky or...? I'm not a Halo fan to be honest, I'm not that much a fan of any game, I just play something that will keep me interested for a bit before I change over to a different game.
