Xbox 360 Can I get some Shenmue love?

Alright, we all know the folks at SEGA are supposedly going to publish the first Shenmue as an Xbox Live Arcade title.
I don't know about you guys, but all this wait has started to make me really desperate. I was a fan of Shenmue back in the Dreamcast days, and they "announced" the XBLA release more than a year ago, and still nothing.
Am I the only one here waiting like crazy for this title?
Please, share your opinions regarding this game and its potential release.

I had never even heard of Shenmue coming to XBLA until now... I have never played a Shenmue game, personally, but I sure would play both of them if they were up on XBLA/GoD or maybe a retail "Shenmue HD Collection" kinda deal.

I played Shenmue 2 in my original xbox but I haven't played the original yet. I think it's a great game but they should actually make a hard copy instead of just an Xbox LA game.
I agree with Claptrap, they should just make an HD collection of the whole series so people that haven't played the first one yet can appreciate the game on HD!

When they announced that SEGA HD Collection game I thought they'd include Shenmue, but I was disappointed when they revealed what the 4 games were and Shenmue wasn't in it.
I agree with you, it really needs to be an HD collection, let's just hope they think the same way and release it soon.

Shen Mue was a very innovative game when it came out for the Sega Dreamcast. I still can remember how much I stared in awe at the screen while I played the game. I'm looking forward to the remake of the original Shen Mue and its sequel. I do hope that Sega would further expand the series.

I hear you pal! I experienced the same exact thing.
When I first played Shenmue it was like playing a second life. Anything you thought about doing, it could be done!
I spent months (and I mean months) exploring the environment without really advancing the story. I'd spend all day drinking sodas and collecting those little Sonic action figures, do you remember those?

Really strange they didn't release a HD port of, at least, the first one. Come on, Sega, do you hate money?
I already bought every single dreamcast game that you released for the modern consoles, i would jump like a shark into a Shenmue deal!
