This guy is fun! Lots of fun!

Okay, so at this point in the game you should have found a key called the Basement Key (I think that's the key, there's so many odd keys lying about).

After beating the Taurus Demon you should have ran across the bridge and to your left is the drake, to your right is Solair, in front of you is a door that will now open. You can use the path way to make it to a long set of stairs that opens the prison door and leads to the bonfire in Undead Burg. Where you stand there is the long steps up or the steps down, here is a good place to become human and find a couple of Bro's to bring to your world.

Go down the stairs very very very Cautiously. There are dogs that aggro really easily. They also are very agile. Let them strike your shield and then attack them.

Walk along the path carefully. Assassins are going to pop out and they are going to be a bad time for you or any Bro's you brought into the game. You'll make it to a fog gate after taking care of Assassin's and Dogs and here's another good place to bring some Bro's into your world.

From here the fog gate can be opened.

The Capra Demon is a fast dual sword wielding guy. He has a couple of dogs with him to. You as the person who needs to stay alive should make a run for the stairs. Climb them and go to the right onto the ledge. Here you can deal with the dogs and fight for a moment without being overly worried about dying. This is very important so that you can keep the Dogs off your Bros or at least get your bearings in the fight since the Capra will come right after you.

Capra is a straight forward opponent. He has fast dual sword attacks. Avoidance is better than blocking them with a shield. Avoid, attack, roll away, avoid attack, roll away.

He'll go down pretty quick depending on if you have one or two helpers with you. You can single him by staying on the ledge and baiting him to follow you around the small room.

Kill him and get teh Key to the Depths! I'll be telling you how to use this key to get your first ember since your upgrades to your weapons and armor should have reached +5 by now.

A side note, after killing the first two dogs you should use the residence key to save a guy who will sell your miracles at Fire Link Shrine, he's pretty easy to find just go along the corredor opposite of the path leading to Capra and you'll find him.

Well if I had not already fought him a while ago I would say this definitely is a good guide for fighting him, really good work on your part.

Decent guide. Not much to say about the Capra Demon because he's pretty simple, I guess. I do find his fight to be kind of a pain, though. Characters which specially in ranged attacks (magic or otherwise) are completely screwed because of the dogs and the extremely small area in which the Capra Demon is fought, but melee characters have no issues as long as they can either block everything or can dodge everything.

The problem with blocking the Capra Demon is that he has some cheat ass code on him where he almost always shield breaks you and if he doesn't, he's just one shot away from doing so. You can sit here and lvl up to 30 and start like a black knight style build or something along those lines then maybe you'll be okay. Unless you're a hard core tank you're going to have a bad time. The dogs are put there for a reason. They want your flesh and likely they will get it.

The one thing I can add to this guide is that Pyromancy is "okay" when it comes to him, you're not going to be doing a great deal of damage, but judging by how easy or how difficult he is, will tell you if you're ready to continue and fight the Gaping Dragon in my next set of guides.
