Xbox One Cheesy Freebies

Is it just me or are most of the freebies that have been released for the One cheesy? I think the only freebies I've downloaded and liked are the Mad Max game and Pinball FX.

I don't know if I would say that "most" of the freebies have been cheesy, but there have definitely been a few I've passed over. There seems to be a trend to bring the side scroller back and while that's great every once in a while, for the most part I prefer to be free to explore.

Thanks, shark. I have Pinball FX thanks to a friend that spent the night over Labor Day weekend, but I didn't know about the one that is similar to Destiny. I will definitely check that out!

Gotta give it time this is a New Consol Gen in a year the Free games will be decent got to remeber there isn't a lot they can just give away in the 1 yr of the consol I feel most of the games have been ok but I have been a gamer since the Atri era and like those old school games as well as the new ones

Its not just here. I have the PS4 and joined a couple forums and there are posts exactly like this there.

the pool of decent games for free on any console xb1/ps4 is small... why i dont really like the id xbox stuff because of the lower level games it produces.. time force and last months are the reason i am not idxbox fan... past that the idea to let small developers in is a great thing.

but yea i would love to see some of the bettergames come out.. child of light, max brotherhood(was a good one) but stuff on that level..

At the moment I don't think they need to dangle the carrot at all. People are still transitioning from 360 to One and likely they would do so without any freebee at all. When the market requires them to dangle a carrot to pull it towards them, then their freebees will be different. That might also look different in some regards as most people don't make a large financial decision based on a couple of free things. They have to add value to their brand even when its something cheap and free they are giving away.

Honestly I'm not sure the freebies will ever all be good. Generally speaking, the better a game is, the more time was put into making it, and the more time people put into it, the more money they are going to need to get back out of it.

Well, it's good marketing to have free stuff available, even if that stuff is cheesy. A lot of people see value in free stuff and disregard the fact that the freebies suck. Microsoft knows this and delivers Still, they should at least offer some of the better indie games for free, they don't loose that much money with those.

Well.. the console is early in life so I don't see alot of free titles yet for awhile...

octobers games with gold free game is another crap shoot... and agan 2 games but supertime force is one of them and a new game called chariot or something is the other
