I am having trouble playing Need For Speed Rivals. I can't steer very well. The controller is way to sensitive. Not at all like when playing Forza 5. Can the controllers be adjusted.

I don't think the standard controller can be adjusted, although you might be able to adjust sensitivity within the game (Need for Speed). I think pretty much only custom controllers (like Scuf) can be adjusted; they come with a little key that lets you adjust some of the buttons.

In NFS, the car you pick can also make a difference, look at the stats for each car. I also think there are some settings you can adjust in the game.

I was gonna say the same thing as RK. Every racing game is different and then within every racing game, every car handles slightly different. Some cars are just ridiculously sensitive to joystick movement.

You can edit very basic sensitivity settings within the game, however; most of the experience has to do with the actual handling stats of the vehicle in game. Early on, you're going to be dealing with vehicles that have poor overall stats, especially handling. It's going to feel choppy and uneven, but you'll notice things get better as you unlock better vehicles in the game.

When playing a game like need for speed something that you should consider is that maybe the car that you picked in the game. Another thing that you can look at is that most games like need for speed allow you to be able to change some of the setting so something that you can take a look at is to see how sensitive the controller setting are for the gameplay.

If it's not the car then it's the controller. But for the most part I think it's more of a getting used to kind of thing. When I switched from Underground 2 to Most Wated I thought the cars are very slippery but turns out it's just a matter of getting used to.

I don't think it can be adjusted, but it's all a learning curve like any racing game. Do some trials, play by yourself and get a feel for the car you're driving. Drive with the same car frequently on different tracks in different conditions. Look at youtube videos as well, see what other people are doing, how fast they are taking turns, etc. Good luck.

Well I am sorry to hear your issues here. I have really come to love the X Box controllers, and it is really the main reason why I still play some of the games (NHL to be particular). The good news is that there are options out there, if you are okay with spending a little money. I hope that you find a solution to your problem. Best of luck and thanks for sharing.

I personally think that you should learn how to play with the default settings in order to make your game experience more enjoyable and somehow better, it also depends on the handling stats of the car you choose, however, I personally think that every car has its own features, that's why you have to pick one and learn to use it to its fullest, it really makes the game more realistic in my opinion.
