I didn't even know these were a thing, but apparently there is a huge variety of 3rd party cooling systems for the one?

I have yet to have any trouble with mine seriously overheating, but it's definitely run hotter than I'd prefer a few times. Has anyone added one of these to their one that could say anything about their quality? They seem to be under $30, so i'd definitely be ok with paying for one, but there's a LOT of different brands...

I guess its just one of those niche products that only a select few serious console gamers will actually buy. I don't know of any major brands that manufacture these coolers but I doubt there is much room for error anyway, especially if its just a fan or something like that. I'd recommend first improvising at home before spending money on one of these. I'm sure many people can benefit by just re positioning their console or putting it closer to a cold area in the room.

The thing I like about these as compared to a normal fan is that it is specific and intended for the console, a lot of them are fit ons and they are just there for the one. I like that concept because I don't want to point a fan at it in the event that I go for longer with it sometime in the future

Well if you can get one for a reasonable price that is ergonomic and actually useful to you, then I'd say its worth the investment. Especially if you plan to keep the console for a while and as it gets older it will probably be more prone to getting warmer than it should.

I've not used a cooling fan for the Xbox ONE but I do have one for the PlayStation 4 and that seems to work well.

All mine is, is just a stand with 6 small fans inside that you put underneath the console, and that then plugs into one of the USB connectors. Simple, cheap but very effective and I can definitely tell the difference.

@pwarbi yeah, the ones I have seen seem to be simple little fans, but they don't just rig from the bottom, there's all kinds of options. I'm kind of overloaded and have no idea which one would work best considering the variety

Whenever I'm struggling to decide which to choose if I've got a number of options, I just normally go off the reviews on Amazon and go with the highest rated item.

I know that reviews on sites such as Amazon aren't always legitimate, but up to now I've never had any complaints with what I've chosen in that manner.

The problem is that they have too few ratings on a lot of them. There is so much product diversity that you can't really know about any particular fan because there's too few people buying and reviewing all of them to get an unbiased opinion

Well that is true but on marketplaces such as Amazon, you can put the items in review order, so the ones that have been rated come first on the list.

Even if that's only like 100 out of 100,000 at least you can narrow it down a bit and choose one that looks ok at the right price.
