Dead Rising 2 - Xbox.com

If you are on the fence about Dead Rising here is a good chance to check it out. Case Zero is also free for gold members. The offer only last till months end so go grab it. The one thing that annoyed some were the time constraints but from what I read they are doing away with that in Dead Rising 3.

The time constraints are what make Dead Rising great for me. They aren't too bad anyway.

But still, good ones they're giving away. Love these games! I would prefer it if they gave away Case West instead of Case Zero, though, because Case West is better and also costs more.

This is similar to AC 2 for me in that I played the first title, liked some things about it, but wasn't sold on a sequel. Since both of these games became free for Gold, they have another shot at getting me hooked on these series, so I'm satisfied with their selections. I also think it's cool of them to throw in Case Zero for free.

I was mislead with the news, as I don't have live. I had a 2 days trial to use and I tried to download it, but I later found out that I wouldn't be able to. So, there goes my 2 day live code, and I don't get my free games. I am thinking of getting a one year live again, as $5 a month isn't a bad deal.

I hope you guys enjoy it. It's no Dead Rising, but still, pretty good "LOTS OF ZOMBIES EVERYWHERE, BETTER STICK SOME STUFF TOGETHER TO KILL THEM IN FUNNY WAYS", so yeah, it has that to go for. Too bad that it doesn't have the sandbox mode that Dead Rising 2: Off the record has.

I dunno, I personally liked Dead Rising 2 way more.

It's actually kind of amazing how different Dead Rising 1 and Dead Rising 2 are, actually. Specially the atmosphere, as Dead Rising 1's nights have no lights because the power goes out but Dead Rising 2's nights are full of neon and noisy music. But not just that, even the gameplay feels extremely different with just the addition of combo weapons. Dead Rising 2 is a good example on how to make a proper sequel.

It is indeed free finally. I downloaded this game the day of its free release but finally got to play it today. It's a very good game. I hadn't realized that I missed out on this gem. My only qualm with this title is the fact that saving is SO important but a lot of the time, is hard to do or sometimes gets forgotten. It might be a personal problem and I'm sure I'll get over it. Good game though, gets me excited for Dead Rising 3 now that I got my beak wet.

This is a really great experience, its a lot of fun to play whether your doing a single player experience or playing the Co-op mode. One of the things you have to remember is that Dead Rising never strayed away from its Japanese roots and you're going to find things that you might not be use to. Some of those things is that there really isn't much on Autosaving, there isn't much on regeneration health, the RPGness of it is very old school RPG style, essentially you're going to play that game the first time and be like "Dang what the hell." and once you get it and are leveled up then you'll be like "Sweet no sweat and I want to beat you wearing a pimp hat... done."

Good times, great Co-op too.

I have to say if i had xbox i would 100% get this game its a delight to play i just love running around and hitting and just making new weapons etc its worth getting its not the best game ever but its worth it if its free!
