Xbox 360 Defiance (MMO Shooter) Reviews Not So Good :(

For those who do not know about this game, it is a MMO 3rd person shooter in a persistent world. You can Google to find out more.

I was hyped about the game but it only got 5.5 and 6.5 from IGN and GameSpot respectively. However, I gotta say, this is one of those moments where a review is definitely JUST an opinion, because I LOVE Defiance. It's incredibly fun, especially after launch week's problems have been solved. I urge everyone to give it a shot and hold out till the problems are totally resolved. After all, most MMOs have their fair share of problems when launched.

you should never go on just reviews as reviewers have their own tastes and most of the time the orginization doesn't put the right reviewer that actually knows the genre. I'm still super butt hurt when a reviewer gave KH 3D a 7 just because he couldn't follow the story (he admited it was the first KH game he played through...) Anyway, yea I agree with you, I watched my friend play it last weekend and it looked great.

The truth is, when did a MMO work for a console platform? Because i did tried Final Fantasy XI on the 360, and i can say for certain that the PC version was miles better.
And now, they are trying to start a MMO based on a television series... which didn't aired yet.

Come on, you had it coming!

dude first episode was last monday...and I don't really get what you're trying to say. Granted I watched my friend play the PC version and MMOs are def more "massive" on PC but I'd assume the overall gameplay across all platforms would be the same. As for all MMOs failing on consoles, it's pretty much cause there's only been like 10...if that. Look at all the FPS' that are on consoles, I'm sure that the success to fail ratio is still pretty bad.

I absolutely agree with you. I love Defiance. I am still having fun with Defiance. The game world is massive, there is never ever a shortage of things to do and it doesn't have that grind thing going that so many other MMOs do. So basically the point here is that you shouldn't believe the hype when it comes down to what reviewers have to say about things. Or at least if you do, take it with a grain of salt.
