Xbox 360 Do singing games improve your singing?

Lips #1 Hits is one of my favorite karaoke games and I play it quite a lot, so much so that I don't really have to look at the screen any more, and I get pretty high scores. Do you think there's any truth in the idea that playing karaoke games can improve your singing skills? I guess professional vocal coaches wouldn't think so but I have definitely got better in the last couple of years.
