I love playing video games with my friends. We all do. But occasionally when they're off having a "life" (whatever that is), I find myself jumping into some MP games with random internet people. Sometimes I do alright. I can generally at LEAST hold my own and contribute somehow to the team. But not always. Sometimes I'm in way over my head and find myself getting a little embarrassed at even being IN the game. While the rest of my team is working together as a well oiled machine, Cpt. Clunky over here is off like a three legged dog just trying not to bring too much shame to my family name!

And when the team loses, and you're fairly certain most of that was due to you, I just immediately leave that lobby afterwards to avoid the name calling and general bashing that I know I deserve.

Has anyone else felt like that? I can't be the only one I hope! :o

It is always better when you play with your friends because then your group is the well oiled machine. I think from time to time everyone experiences this type of game :). It all really boils down to communication and knowing how your team mates are going to react.

Nah, I have never felt that way to be honest. It's just a game after all.

Yeah I tend to roll with the it's just a game thought, but one thing I've learned is you should have more then one group you roll with if your seriously into the game. Like I play with my friends but then I also have a group of people I only know in game and play with them as well. If your really into winning and what not communication is key. Doesn't matter how good or bad you are as long as you are a team with the people you are playing with so it's always good to have more then one group of people you play with if you want to do good all the time!

But at the end of the day, you always gotta remember it's just a game and it's all about fun! Take your mic off when you don't want to hear what other people have to say! I sure do! A lot!

i had this allot in cod bo2. their were a group of guys i played with regularly i mean nightly for hours. they would all run maps im talking 40+kills and like 10 deaths. i was the typical 20-25 and 10-20 deaths.. a few times i would go positive big time. playing with them got me spoiled.. in kill confirm i was the tag man. i would run out to get the tags and the guys would cover me..(smart way of playing that game) having a scape goat.

i would jump in randoms games and after playing with really good guys i would feel like a decent player i tend to be mid pack or near the top 1/4 in most of my runs. but i also watch the scores in lobby's i enter. i know if i see guys with 5k or up points that general team is working together. if its 2500-3200 points that most everyone is solo and just run and gunning. anything from 3500-5k you can assume their is 2-3 members either in chat or clan. if you see 3 mics on or friends in games expect call outs of where guys are or if they see a guy running across the map. if you can get in on the mic odds are its allot of rants/crap but in game usually i you say call your kills or call your deaths within a few games your on top.

i dont play cod much now.. but i et in moods now and than. it usually takes me 2-3 games to get back in the swing.

i use to get ripped on the wait screen for ohh your teams carrying you or you suck. but my kill per sec was normally fairley high.

if you are really in a solo lobby play a wing man. run behind about 5 feet u can usually get cover for 2/4 kills u may not get 30+ but you ill normally clean up a death+tag a few of those and your on a decent streak and unlock uav or guardian.. than your points start to stack.

i use ot run with twin bouncing betty's get allot of after life and revenge points. after a kill people always run blind thu a room/area.

Not usually but it does happen on occassion when I simply don't play a game for a while because I get bored or have other more important things to do. But usually I tend to be decent enough at most games even when I come back to it after a bit of a leave, also if I spend to much time away from a game I will usually just end up not playing it for a long time.

I feel like the "weak link" rarely. When I play games I get the hang of them pretty fast, especially for multiplayer games. Whenever I play with friends i'm usually in second place. I hardly ever find myself in last place when playing with them.

When it comes to shooters, there's way too many worse people out there. It's not surprising the number of children that can't aim a gun.

I only am the worst player on the field in games like League of Legends, due to my never playing those genres of games.

I do know what you mean....with your friends you know their general abilities and how they work as a team, and can manage well with it. Random people? I'm often the weak link because I'M usually the one off having a real life, lol.

I generally feel like this, even if i put a lot of hours of practice, specially with 1vs1 games, where the overall skill level can me measured.

Nah. Depending on the game I'm either syncing up with other lone wolves to do a blitz up the charts or I'm just with a random group looking to make an entertaining video. That said I generally don't care enough about FPS or the like to really worry about being "the Load".

I am actually the better player among our friends in real life so I've never felt like the weak link however, I feel like a weak link when I play among better players in the game. I've played with some good players and have bonded with them in the game after playing together for years. Among 5 of us,I was the worst lol. I remember them wanting to give LOL a try having me play SONA and I just shot my ultimate all over the place. My job is literally 'the baiter' because I suck at everything else.

HAHA! That was basically my job in Battlefield 3 when playing with my friends. I would be bullet bait by running out in the open and drawing fire while they flanked and got the kills lol. I considered it the most important job since it was my K/D ratio that suffered. But I did play to my strength.
