So who among you Xbox One owners actually likes the all-in-one aspect to this console? After all, the XB1 was named as such because it's aimed to be the all-in-one. So who among you like this?

To be honest, I'd rather have them focus more on gaming rather than reaching the full perspective of an all in one system.

I would also prefer a heavy focus on gaming. It seems more balanced with Xbox One to me.

There's nothing wrong with the all-in-one approach. It was Microsoft's plan all along and they were looking for a solid market to springboard from (gaming).

I like the idea, but honestly? The XB1 dash still confuses the hell out of me. I have such a hard time finding what I'm looking for. It seemed that the 360 was a bit more user friendly??

I like that it is an all in one unit than just gaming. I would not have upgraded and kept my 360 or got a PS4 if just a new gaming system.

The bluray, apps, snap stuff can be really useful.

I agree. I am confused as well even up to now. I wish they could simplify the whole thing.

While I don't see anything wrong with Xbox One's approach, I prefer my gaming consoles to be gaming consoles--or consoles that will still have a major focus on gaming.

I will say that on all in one, if they could find a way to stream new movies live on your local cinema's time, they would. It's definitely possible, but they'd want to charge for everyone watching.

The Xbox 360 was more straight forward. Move right to go to different parts of the dashboard, type stuff in to go to whatever. It was a linear really--which I liked.

Yeah, I agree, the user interface that we had back in 360 was way easier and user friendly compared to what we have now.

I agree, I'm not really into the all in one deal that they want. I'd rather just stick with gaming.

The interface for Xbox 360 was great. The one for X1 is manageable. I've gotten use to it now, but 360s was just better. It was readily accessible. As for the all-in-one aspect? It's alright. Entertainment hasn't become a huge enough aspect.

I think the entertainment element will become a bigger thing the more partners that Microsoft gathers. With the gaming side they're only getting...gaming stuff. Maybe shows based on gaming franchises. With entertainment there's plenty of room for growth.

Yeah, you got a point there. With the entertainment concept really trying to emerge in the console, it leaves it a lot of room to grow and more adjustments that needs to be made for it.

Then we'll see all-in-one come on its own. As much as many don't like the entertaintment side, MSFT is going to proceed and expand the entertainment side alongside the gaming.

Well if they can make both entertainment and gaming work hand in hand without any issues (patch issues) why not right? But honestly I'd rather have them focus on gaming.

If they can focus more on gaming it would make Xbox One really great. But the concept of an all in one system isn't that bad, I guess they just want Xbox One to be set apart from the other consoles.

I don't really mind anymore if they want to focus on working on entertainment and neglect the gaming part, well but not that much. I still hope that they can establish a full sync between the two concepts.

But if they did, then their "concept" would lose meaning. And we can already see them going for the entertainment slowly, starting with the original programming they're planning.

I guess you're right spark_777, well as long as they can improve both and still go their own way with what they want to do I'm fine with it.
