You guys think Microsoft will release their own handheld console? I always wondered that. Only Sony and Nintendo did that but Microsoft? Havent seen them do it yet.

Keep in mind that handhelds are mainly successful in Japan and Xbox doesn't sell in Japan, sadly.

So true. With Nintendo having the handheld lineup capitalized Microsoft cannot compete any longer.

I've actually been hearing rumours about a handheld coming to the market for a while now, I couldn't tell you how true the rumours are, but that would be great though, competition in sector is always good for consumers.

I don't think so. Microsoft's strenght is in consoles and PC so if they even try to go for the handheld market, they're just gonna get brutalized like hell. No way.

Yup, I agree. There's no way Microsoft can do it in the dedicated handheld market. There's just no way it can be done. Look what happened to Zune, their competition against iPod.

I agree. That's why they focused more into the current products and made sequels for them.

It's not that bad, but yeah I didn't like it that much either. I had to sell it to someone after a month of using it.

It would be nice to have one. But if they do I wish they had like 3d glasses to watch the game while playing it.

Reminds me of .Hack, they had glasses and controllers to play the game on the virtual world. I wonder if that will be possible with today's tech?

Not likely. Sony and Nintendo have already been in the business too long which means they are pretty deep in the market so to speak. Microsoft is too late even if they were to release one now, no way for Microsoft to penetrate the handheld market, even their Windows phone isn't doing so well.

Exactly. Microsoft will never make a handheld console because of the competition going on. They would rather stick to pc and Xbox.

I agree, nintendo and sony is dominating the handheld console world. Microsoft won't be able to compete with those two.

Yup. And with the new Slim PSVITA coming out in Spring, there's no chance for MSFT to even introduce their own handheld now.
