Forza has long been an Xbox staple. It's the best racing game on the Xbox IMO and it's coming to the Xbox One. On the other side of the fence is Driveclub for the PS 4. Which of these racing games do you think would come out on top? Which game would be more superior when it comes to gameplay, graphics and sound and sales?

hummm..... i dont feel drive club is a forza style game... i would say it is more on the lines of the crew for xbox one.

i say this because at the heart of forza is a single player simulator mode. yes their is driviatar which is you offline but their is nothing based of a members or team based racing. forza is the competitor to grand turismo which is gain a single player mode game.. be it multiplayer the end goal is still to place first in the race.

games like. drive club, crew, need for speed are more built around team racing or social aspect of racing at this point. the crew developers touch on a solo campaign with 50 tracks and 50+cars at launch with updates frequently. but it is based around a social multiplayer structure. where you dont have to win a race to place high. it has some type of fame and overdrive mode.

you can watch gameplay and hear about it over hear.

this is why i dont see it as a sim player. again forza is based around placing and building your drivar up... perfecting your offline driver to win and earn you money while your offline. we expect forza to play as a sim. now if you wanted to throw forza horizon in the mix than yes. those 2 style of games are similar. minus the poorly executed open world in horizon. but the way the developers talk about driveclub with tracks is how horizon should have been with the multiplayer aspect.

if you havnt played forza horizon in multiplayer you are bundled up with people in the open world with objectives to complete some you can do solo and some require team work to do. be it do 200mph or 5 players do 150 within 3 seconds of each other. you dont race to progress in a campaign which the game does have it more geared at getting a group of people iirc they cal lthme your gang or crew and share cars and setups you can jmp in and out race and generally play around.

i do like the concept of driverclub and is one game i wish was on xbox one. but i still would get forza5 because it is a staple of racing games. i think the crew would be beter suited at the style of play or how the game is bundled over how the e3 demo was. i dont think i will get the crew..

Choosing between GT and Forza Motorsport 5 would have been a tougher choice for me, but the state Driverclub is in right now, I don't think it's even worth comparing to Forza Motorsport 5. It might be a bit too early to compare these two games and predict which one would be better, but if I have to root for a particular game right now, I would definitely root for Forza Motorsports 5.

Driveclub is still in alpha and nowhere near completion. The devs have just started working on it since last year. So, it would take some time before we can see exactly how well it will play. On the other hand, Forza Mototsports 5 seems to be the next big thing. It is going to set the benchmark for future racing games. I really like their unique take on AI where the game will remember your play-style. It's so subtle for someone as naive as me to comprehend the whole AI mechanism, but I like what I see :)

forza smashed gt years ago.... they are still trying to play catch up. turn 10 did it right. is their room for emprovment sure is... i could nit pick the crap out of it. but at the end of the day you couldn't pay me to play grand turismo... last time i actually played i put a cake driver on for an endurance race and walked away from the tv for 2 hours.

Well, in my opinion they both are boring as hell and not my kind of racing game at all.

More objectively, they both look like completely different types of races for me, like someone else already mentioned. They do not strike me as the same type of racer, unlike Gran Turismo vs Forza.

Seeing how i still didn't played or watched any footage of DriveClub, i think i would have to go with Forza on this one. If we were talking about Gran Turismo, then yeah, would have to go with it. Have so many good memories of it, specially Gran Turismo 2 Simulation, and all those impossible yet fun challenges.

Speaking of racing games, I wonder if burnout will be coming to the next gen consoles, I enjoyed Revenge on the 360 immensely, no doubt it will be even better on the Xbox One.

DriveClub hasn't come out yet so it's really hard to tell for now. Having not played DriveClub at all is hard to tell whether it compares to Forza. I believe that Gran Turismo is more on league with Forza. DriveClub I feel fits more comparing with The Crew or Forza Horizon 2.

imo forza horizon2 is a complete rehas of horizon1... i hated the game so its one forza i wont support...
