There's so much story in Skyrim that you can read from the books or hear from the people. What's your favorite?

Its not much of a story but "I used to be a adventurer like you until i took a arrow to the knee" the best sentence in skyrim 100% :)

I liked reading books and hearing people comment on how Morrowind was destroyed. I'm not sure if this is what you mean by Lore, but every time I hear about it it gives me goosebumps. To think my favorite land of all the video game lands being destroyed by a Volcano. It breaks my heart :(

My favorite bite of lore of course concerns actual events in the game... I didn't explain that well. Okay the player is the Dragonkin which relates him to the royal line from last game which means anytime he reads a book about history he is in a way reading about his family. Add on that there are several missions related to books you've read in like Oblivion: the Wolf Queen, the poor mad King (who you finally free), etc. and of course you are dealing with your kin. If like me you only play a certain type and you played Shivering Isles then there are several more threads of irony and whatnot. This is honestly why Skyrim is my favorite game. Also Giants and Mammoths.

Seriously, Morrowind had tons of books. Readable books with dozens of pages each, telling you, the player, the story all around of that land, without shoving it to your face. It was there for those who searched for it.

Why did Skyrim had to ruin that and everything else?
