Xbox 360 Favourite Character?

From what I remember you had about 7-9 characters you could unlock as you played through the game with the first couple characters you're provided with. Each of them have their own special attacks, and some move at a faster or slower pace. Which characters are your favourite and why?

Which characters are better? I don't even know what this game is so I don't have a favorite yet. Yet being the key word. I like characters with supernatural powers so if there are any with them, who are they?

I can’t think of a game where you can create 7-9 characters, well you can create many characters but can’t play all at the same time. I guess I haven’t played the game you’re referring to.

You don't create them, you unlock them. You start out with 1-2 characters you can play the game with, and after beating the game with those characters you can play with others. This is the game:

That is crazy cool! I just looked it up online too. I love that you can unlock players! Its an added element that is awesome! I don't have a favorite player yet but once I unlock more I will let you know.

I remember borrowing this off a friend with the intention of seeing if I wanted to buy it for myself...but from what I recall it was a bit of a button-masher and I got bored of it and gave it back to him. Should I have persevered? Does it use that same gameplay style all the way through?

I haven't tried it yet. Is this one that I might be able to find to rent (like from Redbox) so I can try it before I shell out real cash? Or is it worth getting retail, in your opinion?
