Xbox 360 Gamerscore?

I currently have a gamerscore of about 12k. I don't really focus on achievements or things like that, it has just accumulated since I have been playing. I have a friend with an outrageous score. But I wondered what everyone else's gamerscore looked like? Are you as anal as my friend that needs to open every achievement for every game, lol?

I play casually and I complete all the campaigns of my games multiple times and I have 11.5 K I think it ruins the game when your focussing on getting more achievements. To add onto this I feel there should be a real reason for gamerscore because sometimes It feels pointless (except for bragging).
