Xbox 360 Games for Gold for August

It was recently announced that this months games for gold for August will be Crackdown, Dead Rising 2 & DR2: Case Zero. Haven't heard of any but DR2, I guess there's always a first time to try everything.

After watching some videos for DR3, I am somewhat interested in the series now. This is a nice promotion that they have going!

Crackdown...maybe I will finally collect the rest of those agility orbs since I gave my disc away a long time ago.

Dead Rising 2 is definitely fun , it's a very arcady zombie apocalypse game. There are a lot of objects that you can interact with and use to kill the zombies so there is definitely a lot of room for imaginative kills and some creativity. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't played it already. The co-op mode is supposed to be pretty good too although I've never tried it myself.

Dead Rising is one of my new IP favorites for this generation, and the sequel did everything right, including the what-if Off the Record version. Its a game series that can be as serious or silly as you want to take it, as focused or distracting as you want to play it, and as shallow or as rewarding as you want to experiment and explore in it. Its such a refreshing and fun take on the wave of otherwise generic and forgettable zombie games.

Also, its better with multiplayer, but make sure you two are on the same page. If one person is trying to run missions and the other just wants to mess around, you're going to frustrate each other.

I mean, it's all nice they are giving us free games and stuff, but couldn't it be stuff that most of people already doesn't have in their collection or it's in the bargain bin? I know i can't complain for free stuff, but come on, Microsoft, you can do better!
Maybe some Gears of War Judgement, or maybe some DLC for Forza?

im already kinda bored with crackdown. im past the big island and part way into one of the smaller ones.. getting old for me. loking forward to the next game lol.. even started playing cod bo2 again to kill time(campaign) not playing multiplayer at this point.
