Have you ever seen a game room with a game screen the size of the wall? Best gaming experience ever. Do you have this type of setup? If not then you should check out gamers on youtube who play on their home projectors.

At first I was against it, but there is so many good things about gaming on a projector screen. There is nothing better than experiencing game play at it's max. All the details are clearly visible, and if you have a great sound system, you know how good racing, or COD game sound when you play them.

Projectors and the screens are actually cheaper than many big screen setups. You don't need to worry about the screen falling down, it's easy to move, just fold it up and move it. Very portable, but besides all of that...do you have this type of setup?

If not then why don't you have it?

I thought about getting one but the resolution is bad on it isn't it? I mean, if you have a like a 2,000 dollar projector than maybe not but I'm talking about in the affordable price range there is a serious resolution hit on there isn't it? Its also a space issue as well.

I've actually played a few games on a friends screen, and while I don't know the exact size of it, it did cover the full wall of one of the rooms in the house. To be honest though, I wasn't all that impressed by it, and even though he paid a lot of money for the projector, the graphics seemed to be blurry and I enjoyed the game a lot better on a 60" TV that I used to play the game on instead.

Its also a space issue as well.

Don't be discouraged, there are so many benefits to gaming on walls. It's really fun. I have seen so many setups on youtube, and if you don't know how to setup up a projector for gaming, sure it might not show the best resolution, especially if you pick the wrong projector.

You don't need a $2,000 dollar projector. There are plenty of mini projectors you can get from $300-$500 that are ideal, or some regular size ones with better resolution than a 60 inch TV selling for $600-$1,000. Wall screen are beautiful, go on youtube and watch some setups.

Projector screens only take up wall space, not physical space covering the floor. Watch this video.

Looking at that video though, I'm not sure that many people would be able to afford a setup as good as that, and for most the main problem is going to be a budget that they have to stick to. Like you say, there are cheap projectors but the more you spend then the better the results you are going to get I feel, and gaming on a budget just means that a lot of the time you DO have to compromise on quality.

I am not really the person that usually needs to have the latest and the greatest when it comes to technology, but I do like to have my televisions up to date. It is just the one thing that I use all the time, and so if I am going to use something that much I figure I might as well do as you say - go big or go home. Thanks for sharing, and helping me justify my purchase.

You can even build your own projector screen for less than $50 dollars. any people do it. There are lots of videos of those as well, plus the projector is hand held, barely takes up space, and if you're going to pay $1,000 plus for a TV that weights 100 plus pounds, and is pretty big/takes up space, might as well look into the benefits of a projector setup.

I saw a 4K projector going for 25,000 dollars some years ago when 4K was new. Getting 720p or even 1080p or better from a projector at 10 plus feet is very possible for less than $700 dollars. 1080p is good enough, I don't need 4K gaming plus that not a standard anyway. Developers aren't developing 4K video games, at least I have never heard of it. 1080p is HD and that's HD is cheap in 2016.

I'm all for a projector rather than a 60" TV. I love space and if I have a way of creating more of it in my house, then I'm all for it. Plus, I can see just how exciting it would be to play on a screen the size of my wall, and if I get the sound system to match, then I'll be in gaming heaven.

I have a 52 inch screen and playing games on that itself is awesome. I can only image how it would be looking on a 120 inch screen. I do not have it currently, but I have been to my friend's home who has that setup.

Its like watching a movie and controlling it at the same point of time with the xbox controller. It was a surreal experience.

Bigger isn't always better though, and you have to take into consideration the size of the room that your playing in as well. You'll often walk into a room and it will be dominated by the size of the TV or screen, and while that might be a good thing when your watching it or playing the games, when it's not in use it can make a room look a lot smaller than it actually is.

I know that we're talking about the size of the TV or screen from a gaming point of view, but at the same time that is something else to think about hen deciding what size of screen your going to play on, and especially if it's in the main room of the house as well.
