Something interesting about this game is that modern PC gamers are taking Metro 2033 and seeing how high they can play the game on their rigs to test out their graphics abilities. This game apparently can send even 2 gig graphics cards into distress. I'm not sure myself, but I've read it on a lot of forums, and my buddy who has the best gaming rig I know of can only play it at the 2nd to last settings. I only have a mid range graphics card so there's no way I could play it at highest settings. Metro 2033 facts.
