There's a couple things inside of a Tales game that needs explained as you're going through the world.

First, the grinding. This is a JRPG so that means that you're going to want to find a pod cast... I suggest Day9 and chill out and set some goals with your grinding. Stopping yourself from always pursuing the next area will give you time to explore as well as level up your characters. In a Tales game you don't just get throw away characters. At some point they are going to be what you're relying on because the story is dynamic and often times includes times where you might have 2 characters or times where you have a party of secondary characters and if they aren't ready well ... you're going to have a bad time.

Here's what I typically do. I make a party often times including EStelle as my primary healer. I'll take the lowest level character and say I want him or her to be (X) levels higher. Turn on Day9 and away we go. So for example, when you hit the world map for the first time I'll say I have three characters here. I'm going to get Repede up to lvl 10 and grind them up to where Repede is lvl 10.

Grade you'll notice you collect as you fight. Its very important to get as much grade as possible which means you'll need to grind and grind and grind.

When you start and EX play through that grade is what you use to purchase abilities such as 10x exp on the next play through. VERY IMPORTANT.

Good luck Tales Adventurers.
