Xbox 360 GTA 5 Map Comparison

So the savvy gamers over at the GTA Forums have been hard at work to put all former Rockstar game maps into scale and compared them to GTA 5. Rockstar wasn't lying, their previous games really do fit inside GTA V.


Up top is San Andreas. The black map in the middle is GTA 4. Finally the bottom map is Red Dead Redemption.

As you can see, GTA 5 defies all expectations. It's too huge to even imagine. I don't know about you guys, but I don't think the 2 weeks between its release and the start of GTA online are going to be enough to explore this behemoth. On the bright side I wiill online with all of you exploring this map in 16 player mayhem come October 1st.

It is a huge world they have made.
Lets just hope it is a decent quality as they usually are. If there is one thing Rockstar is great at then it is making great game worlds.

Yup! Some retailers were breaking street date, but none around me I guess I'll just wait and avoid internet spoilers!

It is. I've seen leaked images and videos showing in world scale, so consider it confirmed.

Why is there so much woods and crap? The city itself is the size of GTAIV's full map and that's cool, but the woods kinda seem like an attempt to increase the map's size without having to put too much attention to detail... I dunno, just don't like that.
