Hi all.
Hope your well
I haven't been on here in years.
But I'm hoping 1 of you folk out there can help me.
I'm in Ireland. If this is any thing to you.
My Xbox .. I think it's the Xbox one.
On the underside on the label the date is ... 2015 - 10 - 1.
It was working perfectly up to today (2nd July 2024).
I love it..it's done a load of milage.
It's kept in 1 location only moved to dust / vacuum out.
I powered it up tonight, it went into its sign in / who's playing.
Theres only me.
It wouldn't sign in.
I tried offline / online.
Gave it a few tries.
I powered it off then pulled the main plug.
Left it for 5 minutes.
Re powered..
As I put on the original controller that came with the unit, the white Xbox logo light kept flashing slowly without the TV showing that Xbox is on.
I did a quick Google & it said possible HDD failure.
It turned it's self off, I gave it few minutes then pulled plug, got my vaccum & brush & gave it a suck.
I re-powered up & it did come on but slow
I've seen on the internet that the HDD (1tb mine) is internal & a bit of a strip down, only the covers basically. No Biggie.
I remember doing my brother in-law PS3 few years ago & it worked perfectly for yrs untill he got ps5 & it was used a lot & on for hours on end.
I take it that my Xbox can be HDD replaced with new. ?
1tb for 1tb .
Will I lose all my games & info.?
Or is all my information saved to to Xbox gold account.?
If I put a new blank HDD in my Xbox, how do I format it so Xbox recognises it.?
I no that a lot of you if not all of you are going to say just replace Xbox with brand new upto date unit.
But I'm just still happy with my Xbox.
Is it any benefitical to put sdd in to HDD.?
Can't think of anything else or symptoms to say.
Yeah, nearly 10 years for a HDD & good old gaming.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks all.
