Xbox 360 How old to play?

Does anyone know at what age a kid would be able to play this game and have a pretty good chance of getting through it? My seven year old wants to try it, but I don't want him to fail and get discouraged.

I haven't played much of the game but I personally found it fairly easy. My little sister has played it some (she's 8 years old) and hasn't asked for help which she usually does all the time. If it gets too hard for your child I think (I am not completely sure, though) the game has a co-op mode so you could play with them for a bit and help them out of a tight spot.
