I like playing this on my phone, but I haven't tried it on the console yet. Do you think they did a good job making the jump from phone to console?

Having played it on my friend's Kinect I would have to say both yes and no (helpful, I know!). It is fun - using your whole body instead of just your finger takes a bit of getting used to but does have a lot of 'silliness' factor so you get a good laugh from watching each other. But at the same time, I feel that the act of firing up a console, putting in a game and playing is more of an experience that you intend to sit and do for a couple of hours or so, and Angry Birds just isn't that kind of game. It's more of a 'five minutes waiting for the bus' kind of game, you know?

I have not played it on the console, but I have to agree with you, PopTart! The "five minutes waiting for the bus" (excellent description!) is the sort of game I view it as being, as well. It boggles my mind when they try to make it into something else (have you seen the "board game" version???).

Does it have to have Kinect? I don't have that, yet, so if I got it I would have to play it with the controller - unless you can't, in which case I won't bother getting it. I generally go more for fighting games, anyway, on my console.

From what I could find about the game, it doesn't *have* to be Kinect, but the box says that it is "better with Kinect" so I would say it is probably optimized to use Kinect while still being playable with a controller.
