These are some of the reasons that I feel that I should have stuck with my Xbox 360.(Now just so people understand, these are things that will hopefully be fixed by updates and just time, but are annoying in the beginning.):

  • None of my friends have a Xbox One or will be getting one soon.
  • I can't play TellTale games like The Walking Dead: Season 2 or The Wolf Among Us.
  • Multiplayer games like Call of duty only have 20,000 people playing it at a time.(That may sound like a lot of people, but it's not. I go to play anything and there is like 500 people playing it and I can't find any lobbies. For example, I wanted to play Squads last night and there was 74 people playing it, 800 something people playing Extinction, and so on. It's impossible to find an open lobby anymore.)
  • I can't even party chat with my friends on Xbox 360. I have to Skype with them or message them.
  • I can't use my Turtle Beaches to chat with people, I have to use that POS headset or my Kinect.
  • I can't use my flash drive to watch movies or TV shows anymore. I have to use Skydrive and there is a lot of loading times in the middle of the show.
  • Every game that I upgraded to an Xbox One version, I have to get all of the achievements over again.(It's a nice extra boost to my gamer score, but it's boring doing the same thing twice.)
  • Have to click on each individual achievement in the achievement list after you get them to see what you did to get them.
  • Can't view the hard drive to delete items.(Have to go to each individual item in the game store to delete stuff for it.)
  • Can't play any Arcade games that I bought on my 360.(For example, I bought the new WSOP Full House Poker 2 weeks before I got my Xbox One and now I can't play it.)

List of things that are nice about the Xbox One:

  • Better graphics.
  • Simpler Dashboard.
  • 10x bigger friends list.
  • Smart glass on my ipad is amazing.(Can go to type a message on my Xbox One and then break out the iPad to type the message. I can use my iPad as a controller to my dashboard. Anything that I can do on my dashboard with my controller, I can do with the iPad. Only thing bad about Smart Glass is if my girlfriend gets a hold of the iPad, she can mess with me while I'm playing my Xbox One. For example, I'll be playing Call of Duty and then all of a sudden Netflix, Skype and Internet Explorer all open at once on my Xbox One and I look next to me and my girlfriend is laughing her ass off. Grrrr.)
  • That's about all I can thing of right now. If I think of anything else I will update this post, but as you can see, I think I should have stuck with my Xbox 360. Yes the Xbox One is shinier, but be ready for a lot of disappointments as well.

Um... Sorry. Yeah, things aren't optimal being an Xbox One owner right now, but in time things will change. It's the joy of being an early adopter to a game system. Believe it or not, the same thing happened when the 360 was released. Handful of games, quirky issues, RRoD problems, etc... In time, all of the things you have issues with will be addressed and hopefully resolved and fixed.

At least we won't have awful red ring of death problems.. I think that for every new console, there is always a period of time that the console needs to really catch on. By this time next year, there should be a significant number of people who made the switch.

It just came out like 2 weeks ago, ofc its not going to be that amazing right now, patches take times to make and im sure come xmas xbox one will have alot more people on especially for cod..It's just gonna take some time for everything to start working out and it becoming the best console on the market

Yeah the console just came out. Things will pick up in a bit. Besides, it's not really the best idea to pick up a console at launch when things don't actually happen for another 6 months to a year.

There's just not much available out the door for the X1.Whatever is available now is just to hold you over until next year and there will be issues with new devices especially when you got them at launch.

I don't want to sound dumb here, but why can't you use the Turtle Beaches? I have a pair myself and I was really looking forward to using them with the new console this weekend. Are there some compatibility issues I'm not aware of?

Yeah, Right now kinda stink cause there isnt a whole lot to do but im so excited for the upcoming months and years i cant even imagine what they're going to bring to us..super excited

You are right about the friends. This is my problem too, although many of them got it on Black Friday, with more to get it as soon as they sell their old console. The graphics are indeed better. Time will tell if it was a good investment or not I guess.

Yes there are compatibility issues and someone is making an adaptor which will be available next month I hope. There are ways around it such as using your Kinect for chat but using your TB for game volume.

A little research before buying would have told you most of this. You posted 10 things you do not
like and only 1 fits me so I guess we all like/use different things.

You seem to forget about a lot of things and left off all the multitasking benefits, things that can be
voice and gesture controlled, etc....

Welcome to a console launch. With all the hype that comes around a launch, people forget that these things are typical at launch.

-Lack of games to play - very typical for a console launch. It will take some time before a bunch of great games come out. The 360 launch was exactly the same way. Of course, many of the cross platform games were ported to 4-5 different platforms, so they are very underwhelming.
-Lack of friends - I have the same issue. Most of my friends are waiting on next gen. They want more information before buying. Again, give it time and word will get out about how this system really is good and people will start to move over.
-Interface issues - yeah, the interface makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes, but they will improve it. The basic 360 interface was nothing like what we have now. It will constantly evolve and the little things that are missing will be back in no time.

The reason I bought at launch was that simply there won't be a price drop for a long, long time. When your friends convert over, they'll be paying the same price anyway. Why wait? I'm not regretting my purchase one bit, but I was around for the 360 launch so I know how things go.

you can plug you turtle beachs into you tv av out ports, but you cant plug the cord from your TB to your controller without the adapter that is coming out in Feb. so you cant talk to anyone while wearing your TB headset.

Well some of those issues can be attributed to the fact that the thing just came out. Give it some time, there'll be more games soon enough. As for most of your other issues, I get a feeling that you might actually have been better off with an X360.

I think that most of that is just kind of to be expected with something so new....quite likely most of it will be patched up before long, but when do you ever get something when it first comes out without any frustration? Probably the main reason I decided to wait a little myself.

i think everyone has sorta hit on it.

early adopter, still bugs
it took quite a bit of time 3/4 years ot get a big base of 360 consoles on market. it was only the last 4 or so years that microsoft really started getting behind exclusive content and early content/games that drove the sales and user numbers up..

as far as arcade/apps.. its way early not even 3 months in we have allot of stuff comming. when who knows but its already been said we will be getting free games with xb live. developers have to make apps work for the system this goes for games like poker, arcade ect ect..

the headset deal.. ehh i feel ya but we know the fix is on the way. adapters and such. would be nice but microsoft and the partners want the new stuff on market and ability to sell. i dont blame them at all... and am suprised in a adapter honestly.

allot of the stuff is network/structure of the software and getting it all up and working. its going to take some time.. i would and do expect a bunch of the things from 360 t transfer over in time. party chatt,in game chatt being a major one. right now the mode is proably polish the ui and dashboard and existing apps. work on the cloud/networking with some of the games/servers.. its a learning experiance and growing pains its to be expected.

as far as friends on xb1.. quite a few people on the board have added their live account up so we can all play, chatt. i can say ive made some good friends who i talk/txt and have never met in person on xblive/in game. and even had a nice xbox one message from a member hear on thanksgiving who ive never pm'ed but we play similar games and joke about beating lap times.. so dont be antisocial and add some people. i play 3 games your welcome to add me :) i have 0 of my friends who really ply consoles so yea. lol. actually quite a few find it funny because im the last person they would think would be into them.

Wait a sec... you sold your Xbox 360 already? Ah, well, you have your reasons. But yeah, it's kinda sad you won't be able to play games like The Walking Dead Season 2. It's just about to come out this month. Well, like what some say here, it's just launced so in time, it'll change.

Yeah this is why i'm holding back from my purchase for a while. The whole point of getting a console for me is for the exclusives, and because that's what my friends play. Since the exclusives are super dissapointing, and none of my friends have bought one yet, i might have to wait until next year to justify a purchase.

You should've kept your Xbox 360 when you bought the Xbox One. What's done is done, I know, but months went by before the launch so pretty much everybody knew there wasn't going to be backwards compatibility, so you'll have but a few games to play. And yeah, you won't get a chance to try out The Walking Dead Season 2, Wolf Among Us or even Fallout 3 (unless those get ported). Well, this should be a lesson to you. It'll change, don't worry.
