Xbox One Is this normal noise level?

When watching movies or do other things I hear the hard-drive high pith noise. Is it normal? Is the Xbox supposed to be silent?

You haven't specified which Xbox, 360 or One, but I'm assuming you're talking about the 360. None of these consoles are supposed to be silent, although a few of them are designated as low sound output. When you do anything on an Xbox, the console is going to make sound, whether it's the fans, an optical drive, or another part of the machine. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it's overly loud or sounds off.

Both my XB1s are whisper quiet. If I didn't have the volume on for the movies, I couldn't tell it was on, save the screen content and the light being on the front and kinect.
