Hi,
I really love super hero games in an open world sandbox. So, naturally, I really enjoyed Web of Shadows. I didn't, however, have a fun time playing the other Spiderman games that came before this (sorry, the names escape me). They were not open world and felt meh.
This game's trailer showed a beautiful clip of Spidey swinging through the city. Instantly I was thrilled. Another open world Spiderman game, OMG! <3
But then, when I eventually played it, I was quite disappointed. Why? Because, the game is not essentially an open world game. The city serves as a gate way to the levels that progress the story forward. And these levels are pretty much what we saw in the last Spidey game from this developer. I'm not bashing the city gameplay though, they are awesome, but I wished they'd used it more. Like chasing down bad guys or fighting in the air.
Thanks for reading.
