What can i say - extremely fast, extremely sweet.
What's your opinion?

looks good.
But you can see a small glitch at the beginning, where the menu is popping in and out for a milisec.
But i am sure they would figure something out

The glitch is quite disturbing. Looks like a screenshot of what you were doing before you put the console to sleep. Or it could be showing the real homescreen, which is weird cause Major has not logged in.

Really looks good hopefully they have everything worked out

I know! But, there will be people complaining that things aren't loading as fast as the one on the video.

Super quick! I have no idea why people think that small screen flicker is 'disturbing'. It seems the console is being woken up from standby mode, so there's a possibility it's just a screen cap of what was going on before going into standby mode, or it's just a quick glimpse of the dash. Thing is, it was so fast nobody will ever even care because you can't even see what it is in the first place. Regardless, it doesn't detract from how fast the Xbox One boots up from standby mode anyway.

Lastly, remember that the Xbox One can also turn on your TV/Receiver and other stuff in your living-room, all with just 2 words, "Xbox On". That's how I'm going to set mine up. :) I'll say goodbye to my TV remote, seeing as how I won't need it anymore. Xbox One also allows you to turn the volume up/down using your voice. :)

This has shown me that people will get excited over anything these days, geez.

Do a search for "PS4 airplane roar" or something like that and see the videos of people showing how their PS4's roar so loud they joke and call it airplane noise.

I don't know if its all of them or not, but it would drive me crazy.

I hope the Xbox Engineers will figure something out about the cooling mechanism, so that its not that loud as the PS4's. Sound humble can be really a pain, especially when watching a movie\skyping.

I feel like an off the boat person, but I don't see the big deal in that guy. As a gamer posterchild, I would assume someone just a little generally younger to appeal instead of a father figure lookng guy. Maybe its just me, but that's still cool for him to do.

If you ever get a chance to meet him in person, do it. Larry Hyrb (Major Nelson) is a very charismatic guy. When you meet him you'll instantly understand why he was chosen for his position within Xbox. He carries a demanding presence in person, but very approachable. To top if off he's friendly and a hardcore gamer.

I don't mean to talk up the guy like I'm a huge fan or anything, but I met him recently (back in September at the Seattle Xbox One hands on event) and was surprised by the overall impression I was left with.

Yeah. He does seem like a very nice and knowing guy. Especially when it comes to tech stuff and gaming. One in a kind!

I think the average age of a gamer is a lot older than many think. According to wkipedia the average age is 37.

Years ago it was 12-20, now it's more like 25-45 as the systems are also much more expensive.

I just spent $800 for my Xbox One and a couple games and still plan to get a few more online. How many kids
can just spend $1000 on a video game system.

Yea I think our generation started with our parents. I know my dad was a huge computer gamer. Then the consoles rolled out the nes. Being 29 years old I've experienced most all consoles even Atari.

But yea to your point no kid is able to spend 800+ on a console unless their parent pays for it..

I agree. I'm older and don't think twice about owning one.

My guess is that they will unlikely let such a big issue stay there. They must have got a bunch ov engineers to figure out a better way to deal with the sound coming out. This is a very important problem, since technology today is the thing we trust the most

sound is always a problem. it's just that whether we are fine with it or not - that is the question here. the sound of PS is mostly overreacting. I have tried it myself - well, there is a sound. but there will always be one - the machine is working, CD spinning, fans roaring.

He does seem like a pretty cool guy, unlike Mattrick, heheh. Only thing from Major Nelson that bothered me was how big a fuzz he made over the Xbone name, saying it was "disrespectful" to the people that came up with the awful "Xbox One" name. But even that was his being nice and not a dick.

They'll probably sned an update to the X1 next week to fix all kinds of bugs and to fine tune the performance. I'm guessing the ventilation must be good because it's such a big case. I really hope it's a quiet machine, the only thing I didn't like about my 360 was how loud it was after a few hours of vaming.
