After the free PS3 Metal Gear Rising VR missions, more DLC is ready and rarin' to go later this year. Specifically, the Soul Snake sword weapon, Bladewolf missions, and an all new set of missions featuring Raiden's nemesis, Jetstream Sam.
Based on these new screens (especially the ones taking place in the Japanese village), it seems as if Sam will be doing at least some retreading of Raiden's steps from the core campaign. It also looks like he has access to Raiden's zandatsu technique, and Sam will have his own set of VR Missions to play (with at least one sidescrolling stage).

Soooo, I'm now even more hyped for Sam's story DLC. As has been previously mentioned, the DLC's story takes place BEFORE the Metal Gear Rising main story, as Sam has been seen fighting Desperado soldiers in previous screenshots and he is lacking his robotic arm. Take this into consideration, I am unsurprised that he is "retreading" an area shown in the main game because the area is, in fact, the headquarters of Desperado/World Marshall. If Sam is fighting Desperado, it would make sense for him to take the fight to their headquarters, so nothing too surprising in there. Also, he would obviously have Zandatsu too, as Zandatsu is a huge part of the game's mechanics.
Now, other than that, the DLC is shaping up to be pretty solid but we still don't really know if Sam does have his own unique moveset, but he surely does has he fights very differently from Raiden when he shows up in the main game. Of course, people are already being pessimistic and saying it's "just a fancy skin" but I'm sure Platinum Games won't fail us like that. Anyway, I am very glad to see that Samuel gets his own set of VR Missions, as I was hoping that his DLC and Bladewolf's both had new VR missions!
So, really looking forward to April, myself, since that's the ETA we've been given. (Of course, April also has other completely unrelated things I want like Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen and Soul Sacrifice!)
