Xbox 360 Microsoft And Time Warner Strike TV Deal For Xbox 360

Well this is pretty dumb to be honest. Why watch it on a console if I could watch it on a PC? Why the 360, and not the Xbox One? I have Time Warner myself, but I don't see myself ever using the TV feature for this in the future.

I just don see the advantage of using my console to view television. The primary purpose of any GAME system is to play videogames. I don't see these features catching on, as a large portion of the demographic they are attempting to reach doesn't even view television like generations past. Studies have shown many young adults don't even subscribe to cable, as they would much rather watch the anytime streaming content of Netflix or other similar services. Also, why would you want your Xbox to replace your DVR? After recording a couple shows on it, you would barely have any space to save games.

The whole idea as a multifaceted entertainment system does not interest me or others I have talked to one bit. We want games.

The Xbox consoles have been referred to as Entertainment Systems, not just Game Consoles. The Xbox 360 has developed a lot since launch and has had a lot of influence with Movies, Music and now the TV industry. If you can do something on one console and not change channels to do something, its just a little easier to access. They want you to use your console for more than games, they don't want you to turn it off. So for those who watch TV when not gaming, they're trying to provide content for now.
