Well specifically Microsoft Game Studios is hiring. The Xbox One is doing great where sales are concerned and now Microsoft Game Studios has come out and hired everybody. It looks like their looking into increasing first party titles since the Xbox One really is the only console that depends a lot on third party titles. I'm really glad that their doing this, good for them.

During the last seven days Microsoft Game Studios offered 31 different positions across multiple teams (in a total of 50 jobs currently offered, most of which offered in the last 30 days) including Lionhead, 343 Industries, Turn 10, Rare and more. That’s a situation that has almost no precedents for the studios. Nine new opportunities have appeared just today, on a Sunday.

It’s also not too surprising, as when you have a platform that sells as fast as the Xbox One did at the beginning of the next current generation, you have to hurry and provide as many games as possible to keep that momentum going, and to do so you have to bolster the team. More bodies mean more man-hours put into the games, and ultimately faster releases.

Microsoft hires the world

Well, I think this means that if you have the skills and are looking for a job, you may end up in Redmond, Washington! I think that all of this hiring is very promising, and if more exclusive games like Titanfall are developed, well, Sony will have their work cut out for them coming up with their own exclusive titles!

Well, sounds good to hear. Microsoft is stepping up the game and finally hiring more people. This next-generation is really looking interesting. Let's hope the hiring can mean more games coming. Sony, I hope you got a good plan 'cuz if Xbox One gets great exclusives, you'll have to do something good.

Glad to hear. I really hope this hiring spree will bring us more exclusives and more stuff too. With more and more consoles selling, they'll need all the manpower they can get to keep up with the demands.

The more, the merrier right? This is definitely good news. With the indie gaming, the programming and more, there'll be a lot more hiring needed in every part of the Microsoft core. Let's all hope it's for the best.

I agree with Jstep; this is very promising. This is good news for both MSFT and gamers alike, not to mention healthy for the industry as a whole.

Yes, I agree too. Microsoft might even have their own 'Japan Studio', where we'll see some Ico-like and Shadow of the Colossus-like games come to the gamers. Oh, that will be swell and wonderful for us, don't you think?

I wish they had their own Japan Studio. That way the game quality would boost up.

Good. This means more people have a chance of creating good stuff for us gamers.

Yes, that's right. Will we see the next Gears of War? Crackdown? Maybe something equivalent to Spyro or Crash Bandicoot? There's so much potential. We'll see if this hiring spree can really make all the difference.

Yeah, the hiring spree can really make a difference. Well I wish they could make Gears of war or maybe something like Splinter Cell.
