One major issue that I have with the Xbox One is the UI. I just don't like it, I prefer the PS4, thankfully Microsoft has come out to address it and have stated that they are working to make the dashboard more appealing because, at least in my opinion, it's a busy and confusing mess.

Microsoft working on Xbox One UI

Major Nelson rocks ;) I'm interested to see what changes the do make. I'll admit, I don't totally "get" the new UI, but I'm getting there, kinda. It's pretty but it does take some getting used to.

I've read a lot about the UI in the early reviews. Yup, many are quite baffled about this (including EDGE). It looks like a Windows 8 to me, and in my experience with the latter, it's kinda messy. Good to know Microsoft will do their best to streamline it nicely.

LOL the dashboard look exactly like it does on 360 with less category columns....only thing they need to fix is that the main menu updates with recently opened things so it gets kinda confusing if you've opened a bunch of stuff, I like how it is on the 360 where the game in the drive is in the same place always

Yeah it is confusing at firs, it did took me 3 days to get used to the interface.

I'm sure they can fix it up but I think the UI isn't that bad. I've been using the Windows 8 UI for a while now and I'm actually getting used to it. I'm sure I'll be in smooth sailing with the Xbox One UI. It's just a matter of knowing where to put the tiles to really make it useful to you.

I've got to agree. This isn't that bad. Well if you've used windows 8 you'll be used to this setup.

Can't wait for it to be fixed! I am glad Microsoft listens to its customers because that is what its all about! Customers!

Hopefully they can fix it so that the UI can be enjoyed by everyone and no one will hate it!

Good luck to them!

Ive been using windows 8 for roughly 9-10 months so the One isnt that hard for me to use but i do think they make the UI look and feel way better then what it is now, although i dont mind how it is right now..I wish they would patch something in to make the xbox run faster rather then fix the UI right now lol

Yeah, I'm less than thrilled with the UI on the One. It's not horrible, but should be a bit more intuitive and helpful. Hopefully MS is working on an update soon. It's almost like they used the 360's UI as a base but took away useful things like the battery indicator, your personal avatar, not to mention clearly displaying achievements. Puzzling.

I have faith they will put out a patch very soon, by the end of January. They did put out a bunch of patches for the 360 UI over the last few years which was great

After playing around with an UI for awhile users will get...use to it. There's some overuse there. At any rate it would've been better off the jump, but it's not bad from what I've seen of it. I really prefer the basic, straight forward layout of the 360 more, though. It was great.

That's good that they're going to do something about it. It's not bothering me much. I go in and play my games. I'm not using the UI to give me directions, type my report, or anything complicated.

After messing around on my friends Xbox One, I'm more used to the UI but I still don't like it. It's not bad, and certainly after time you can get used to it but I want it to be a little more streamlined and intuitive. I think I said this before that I prefer the PS4 UI because there isn't nearly as much guesswork and learning involved with it. Hopefully Microsoft is taking the critiques into account and will make something a little more like the 360 layout.

The PS4 UI is pretty straight forward, that's what I like about it. If you're familiar with Windows 8 it shouldn't be a hike uphill to get used to UI. Other than that, just muck around with it.

Yeah, no one's hating on the Xbox One. It's a really good system, but I don't like the UI. It's not that it's hard to learn it's more the lack of fluidity that I don't enjoy. You really do kind of need the Kinect in order to use it smoothly I sometimes/most of the time, I just don't want to. Hopefully they streamline it.

It's good to see that they're fixing up the UI on the Xbox One. From what I've seen, it didn't look to be designed all that great. It definitely could have been designed a lot better! They could have made it easier especially if you didn't want to use the Kinect.

It seems that they actually listen to their customers, which is always a good thing. And yes, the PS4 does seem to have a better UI, although it doesn't bother me that much altogether... I prefer to focus on what games to get next and who to play them with. The UI does matter, just not that much to me. Glad to see it getting better though!
