Microsoft reported record revenue earnings today for the company's second quarter, with $24.52 billion in net revenue and $6.56 billion in net income. During the quarter, which ended Dec. 31, Microsoft sold 3.9 million Xbox One consoles and 3.5 million Xbox 360 consoles, the company said.
Microsoft saw double digit growth in its Devices and Consumer division, with revenue growing 13 percent to $11.91 billion. The division includes the company's Xbox business, Surface, Windows Phone and more.

Well that's certainly some healthy growth. We can only hope that some of these profits are used to lock down some more exclusives and maybe even some first party studios; this would truly be the only way for MSFT to stay competitive with Sony going forward.
