Xbox One Microsoft sells only 1.2m Xbox One to retailers in Q3 report

I'm not sure what this means. People have already bought in mass XB1s and I suppose there won't be many buyers anymore.

Hmm. I think they will have less now that people are aware about how it works.

It means that there are still 1.2m units not yet sold to the consumers. Take note: retailers. They didn't mention consumers. So there's still 1.2m not yet in the house of gamers.

What thedoodseven said. 1.2m units still not being played by consumers. But that doesn't mean PS4 is safe from this analysis. Maybe the PS4 also has some unsold units within retailers.

Exactly because they haven't released it on every country.

They have to release it everywhere.

Microsoft could be testing the upcoming months by putting out a pretty safe amount out to be sold. It could also just be the sum of retailers' requests for more units.

I just wonder how the retailers will handle this. Let's hope it's not gonna be in a landfill in New Mexico (just kidding).

You might be right. The way this report is titled, it's like there's doom in it. C'mon, I've seen business news like this before. This is what they call the "inventory". Of course there's gonna be unsold units. Now, if these 1.2m units still remain unsold by next year, then something's up. But for now, it's just the inventory.

Wow, you really brought up some business class lessons eh? Yeah, I gotta agree. I forgot that just 'cuz there are unsold units doesn't mean it's a loss in profit. It's just the inventory.

I don't think Microsoft could keep people from finding a landfill of Xbox Ones for over 30 years. Kinects? Maybe.
