Instead of asking the worn-out question "which game is better?", I'm curious as to which wasteland this community prefers. After all, the main draw to the newer Fallout games is the sheer amount of content, so it goes without saying that the setting is important. Personally, I prefer the Mojave, because it has a lot more interesting geography, and I felt that I spent too much time in metros when I was exploring the Capital Wasteland.

My decision might be a little bias since I thought Fallout 3 to be the better game of the two, but I honestly don't remember the Mojave. I mean the cool Vegas strips were fun to explore, but at the end of the day the Capital Wasteland felt more dangerous and adventurous. I also had a bunch of loading problems with the locations so that might be influencing my opinion as well.

The Mojave, because the subway system was annoying as hell in the Capital Wasteland. Mojave also has the Strip, what a fun place it is!

Even though I like New Vegas more, I still prefer the Capital Wasteland.
In the Mojave I feel the the locations are too far apart and you spent too much time wandering through large empty spaces.
I realize it is a desert and this is to give it that feel, but I think they overdid it.

I actually preferred New Vegas than the Capital Wasteland, I felt like I had more choice to go places late game than with CW. Especially in the major cities, in CW it felt almost linear going through each city. But I'm also a giant western buff, so all the western stuff in NV helps sway my decision.
