Xbox One Moving UK XBOX ONE TO CYPRUS

just wondering, will my xbox one work with xbox live in Cyprus ?

I called Microsoft before buying the console, the advisor told me, even though Cyprus wasn't one of the regions the xbox one was launched in, because my xbox was bought in the UK and my MSxbox live account was a UK one I shouldn't have much problem plugging into SP Provider in Cyprus and using it.

Ive tried finding some info online and all ive got is that it should work they think , but I may have problems using store market place etc.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm whether it will/wont work in Cyprus because I don't fancy lugging it around for no reason at all.. thanks..

It might not work rhys because of region codes. Can you shoot Microsoft and e-mail? Some of my friends have tried moving their consoles around and it didn't work because of power supply issues.

I think it will work, your Gamertag is tied to the country that you first registered in meaning no matter where you are, each time you connect to Live you connect to the marketplace of the region you registered in.

There is no region lock on this console. Games will probably have to be digital or via post though.

You should have no problem, the console is not region locked.

After a quick search I could only find confirmation that the games are region free. Sorry! I can't find any information on the Xbox Live servers.

just to confirm guys it worked fine, the only problem is I seem to connect to people with average to poor latency I think maybe the UK xbox connects as if im in the UK when infact im 2000 miles away so maybe this is the cause of bad latency *shrugs*
