Hey guys,

So I am one of those XBOX fans that is still completely satisfied with his 360. However, my console appears to be on its last legs and, rather then buying another 360, I am looking at possibly getting an XB1. When The 360 dropped it had several MUST HAVE launch titles (Halo, Forza, Madden and so on) and I was wondering how this generation of launch titles is faring. I am fairly unplugged from the XB1 discussion so any advice or suggestions would be very welcome.

So, in summation, What are the must have launch titles for the XB1 and are they worth buying an XB1 to play.

There aren't any "Must Have" games out there yet. However, if you are a racing fan, Forza 5 is amazing! From both a gaming and graphical standpoint. The speed of the cars, the 1080p graphics and fun makes it my favorite!

Seeing how little the library of games is right now, i would say just get every single game out there. If you really want the best, get Dead Rising 3, Titanfall (when it comes out), Forza 5 and Zoo Tycoon. You will be set for the next weeks.

I would recommend, forza, dead rising and either battlefield or call of duty based on preference. Also NBA 2K if you are a basketball fan.

Man, go with Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Forza 5, and maybe the Ghosts and BF4. There's also Zoo Tycoon. Yup, there's some decent launch games. If you're not yet going to getting an Xbox One at the moment, Titanfall and Project Spark will be hitting you good. There's also Just Dance 2014, if you're in the mood for swinging that butt haha.

BF4 is great, esp if you played BF3 on 360 you will really appreciate the 60FPS now

AC4 is freaking beautiful, the colors just pop

Titanfall releases March 2014

This really all depends on your personal tastes.
If you're into Coop, I'd say to get Dead Rising 3. That game is definitely bringing it to the table once again.
If you're a sucker for multiplayer experiences, I'd say Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Ghosts (Yes I said CoD). Both are great games by there own means. Call of Duty has one of the most fluid control schemes ever for a shooter, and BF4 looks to be killer on the environment and scale. Can't go wrong with either.
I'd also say TitanFall, but that's not coming til next spring. Looks to be a much needed breather in the shooter market.

I've read so many good things about Dead Rising 3, I think that's first game I'd get once I own an XB1.

Before you buy anything read the reviews since most of the launch titles aren't doing that well. The games that are being well received is Dead Rising 3 and Forza so those are the games that I would recommend you buy. If you want to test some limited Kinect functionality and kinda see what the console is capable of then you could get Ryse but it's repetitive at best and I got bored of it pretty quickly.

Personally there aren't any "Must have" games out yet. I'm waiting until mid next year to buy if the price goes down. Forza 5 looked hopeful but the micro-transactions let it down for me. Ryse also looked promising but the gameplay looks a bit too repetative. The only game which seems like i would like it is Zoo Tycoon :p

These 4 are must haves for me or I would not have spent $240 for them.
All a little different from the others giving me some variety all around.

Remember I am only speaking for me and what I like so:

I like COD better than BF, not crazy about DR3 and I had DR2, NFS over Forza as I think
after the ohh's and ahh's over the Forza graphics I would get bored of it quick as NFS
offers more than just racing. Madden for a sports type game I prefer that to bb and soccer.
Ryse for its cinematics and hack and slash gore. Just a fun time killer type game you don't
have to memorize all kinds of controls, combos and such.

How is Need For Speed? I saw some gameplay and wasn't too impressed. It looks nice graphically, but is it the same crap that the franchise has been bringing out for the last few additions? I played the new Most Wanted and am glad that I only rented it :p

I have only played it a little as the cop so far, but I am having fun. I never played any other versions so I can't compare it
to anything really.

Graphics are very nice, there is a lot to do and I have a good time playing so I think its OK.

I am not a BB lover, but I played the demo of the basketball game and it was fun and realistic. Not sure if I will
buy it or not, but after playing I think much higher of it than I did before.

The way the controls and game is designed, you can play semi decent even if you suck.
I was actually losing, but semi keeping up and I am horrible at games like this. A few basic
button presses like pass and shoot can get you out of a jam.

Ryse looks cool from what I've seen. Also Forza 5. But we all know that real gems come after the launch, so I would wait a little bit first.

I am really enjoying Ryse. I love the cinematics and the game play is simple so you don't have to learn 100 combos, trigger pressed and things like that.
A really fun gory hack and slash game if you like that type of game.

I recommend Dead Rising, Forza and Call of Duty. These games rock. Well unless they release the big guns like Final Fantasy 15 and Elder Scrolls Online. Either way, I'm loving my Xbox one day after day. I love the features, the graphics, kinect (well not that much when I first got it, I had some issues)

I like the way you think. COD, Battlefield 4 and Titan Fall sure are good. Not to mention Dead Rising. Killing zombies to a different level.

The thing is that neither console really has any must haves for me right now. Both of their initial launch titles aren't screaming buy our systems to me. Forza is good and Dead Rising is fun but not enough for me to drop $500. Now if Sunset Overdrive was out, I would probably change my mind. I still know almost nothing about that game but the E3 trailer still has me pumped for it.
