What do you guys think?
Timed exclusive like the last few?
Or actually an exclusive?

i dont think its that big of news... the last rendition did not get allot of praise or following.. microsoft is bitting at the bit to get whatever bigger platform games exclusive or titled with xb1 they are just reaching and spending money to ensure xb1 survival..

Really? It seemed awfully popular to me..
It was probably one of the most popular entries in a long time..

I think Shark is talking about the "Next-Gen" version which was the same exact game, with an entirely different model set. From what I've read/heard, a lot of people hate the new look of Lara, when the first rendition made her more believable. The next-gen version seems to dolled up once again which really kills the entire point of doing the reboot and showing her origins.

As for the exclusive, I don't think many people care that much. First one was pretty fun, but it won't garner nearly as much attention.

I am evidently one of the few people that went into the definitive edition without prior experience. I loved the game, and will be playing the next. I liked it enough to go through and get all of the collectibles and complete the single player portion to 100%. Last game I enjoyed enough to do that with was the original Assassin's Creed, and before that the original Modern Warfare and Oblivion.

Oh well in that case. I'm not honestly too surprised. Uprezzing a modern game is not as much of a money maker as porting up PS2 games...

It's only a timed exclusive it seems so further make it irrelevant. The new reboot isn't even a system seller in the first place in my opinion. Exclusivity surely generated a lot of fuss but not many is going to and buy a console for one game. The fact that it's timed just makes even more pointless and a waste of money.

Yep, it's just a timed exclusive, which is pretty stupid to admit to everyone. It's not like Rise of Tomb Raider is going to make people go purchase an Xbox One IF it was a complete exclusive. The game will probably be good to great, but now everyone knows it'll come to other platforms eventually. People would rather wait for their console to get a version than to switch over to Microsoft. Plus, the developers will do what gets them the most money, which means releasing to multiple platforms.
