I didn't know about the mandatory game install. I mean i know some stuff will have to be on the console but i wasn't aware of it as a required with the 180 they did with drm and 24 hour online.

My next question is with the Xbox live they say the gold membership is transferable but your friends/contacts are not. this has me wondering if the gold on Xbox one will null and void your 360 gold membership if you transfer it to Xbox one. i am also wondering if your gamer tag will have to be new.

You make an interesting point with the gold membership transfer here. I wouldn't be all that surprised if it didn't stay on the 360. It would be natural that they want to phase the 360 out of the market and promote their new product. They have been recently improving a little step by step, so hopefully they will prove me wrong, but I wouldn't put any bets on it.

Well thanks for sharing the new specs can't say it was something I would care to look up myself to be honest and I think it's pretty cool that there transfering the score but I can't see the point as you will not be able to play those games on the One.

i hve touched on this before but it seems the consoles are still very the same with power/specs.

Both the Xbox One and the PS4 will run modern engines and play next-gen multi-platform games, so the vast majority of consumers just won’t see the difference. If third party developers like Carmack regard them as essentially equivalent, you can be willing to bet the average gamer will do the same.

hear is also a quote about the transfer of gamertags/acheivments
Worried about all of your hard work over the past few years disappearing once you make the move to Xbox One’s Xbox Live service? Don’t go kissing your Gamerscore goodbye just yet, since you’ll be able to take it all with you.

Existing Live accounts will transfer over to the new service, thanks to its cloud capabilities, giving players access to all of their games, music, movies, and saves. You don’t have to worry about losing your achievement progress and your beefy Gamerscore disappearing, folks. Achievements will also get a boost, thanks to the cloud.

According to Game Informer, Xbox Live’s principal group program manager Chad Gibson said, “We really want to enable our achievement system to fully embrace cloud power, which is why in this generation we’ve got cloud achievements.”

This means that players can go beyond the 1,000 Gamerscore limit for achievements thanks to updates from the cloud. Some of these achievements can also include parameters met over a player’s long gaming career across the span of many different games in the same series.

but they dont touch on how live accounts will work with a pre existing purchase or transfer.
