Xbox 360 Newbie - Trouble getting kills and ?Scorestreaks?????

Well, the grandkids got me hooked and play a lot of Core, Free for All. Really having trouble getting kills. Seems am always in the wrong place and don't get my shots off before the other guy. Any starter points? I found out fast people get real upset about campers and have found moving around increases the amount of kills I can get. But got to tell ya, averaging less than 10 kills a session kind of takes the fun out of it.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a magic formula... Just keep playing and practicing, after a while you will learn which direction people are likely to come from so your in the right spots nod are shooting first
