I think we're all in agreement that the Fallout website, with all the cute hints is about revealing Fallout 4. And I've been pretty sure that we'd get the answers at VGX. However that hope has been dashed. It's been confirmed that if this game is Fallout 4, it won't be at VGX.

No Fallout 4?

That kinda sucks. It's like Fallout 4 would've been the huge announcement. Anything not Fallout from them isn't going to seem as big, really.

I was hoping for something on the Fallout 4 front. Hopefully something is revealed soon-ish or it's a way of getting everyone even more excited when it's revealed to actually be Fallout 4.

I'm sure it will still be a fairly significant announcement. It could still end up being what people are hoping/expecting it to be.

Fallout 4 not being announced... to be expected. Bethesda is probably working out the kinks on it... or maybe they're just focused on something else. Either way, they did say that if Fallout 4 is not announced officially from them, don't believe in the nonsense in other portals. So we'll just have to wait. Here's looking at you, Valve XD Where's Half-Life 3? haha.,

Bethesda probably have their own big announcement planned for when it comes out. I would think that even if it is announced, it would be coming out at the earliest, late 2014. Hopefully they really try and work out all the bugs though, they have a reputation of a buggy launch.

I think Bethesda will do their own announcement. They said that if you don't hear anything official from them, then everything else is just a hoax. They could be trolling us but hey, if they don't say a word then well, nothing. I did hear about that site that "teased" Fallout 4. Seems the guy who made the site or the hoaxer, as everybody refers him as, actually did the site to provoke Bethesda to announce the game. He had to spend $990 just to maintain the domain. He was told to stop doing the hoax by Bethesda themselves. Not sure if he'll stop though but damn, even a clever hoaxer is eager to see a new Fallout.

If someone's putting in the price of what several copies of Fallout 4 would be to run a hoax, that's really something. While new Wolfenstein is sure to be good, no one was really throwing money at trying to get people to move on Wolfenstein.

...if I had the cash to waste I would do something similar for Brutal Legend.

He also said that he wanted to see the "world burn". Hahaha... did he watch Dark Knight Returns? But man, he did all this just to get Bethesda to announce huh? Clever. He was gonna also put a teaser trailer out but he'll only do it when the time's right. Well, let's see what else he's got.

Guys, there's been rumors again. Seems someone managed to get a casting call for Fallout 4. The setting for the game: Boston. ohohohohohoh... Well, let's see Bethesda dodge this. I'm interested to see their reaction :-D

Boston, eh? Bethesda will find a way to dodge it. They might go with the Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo response in "We don't respond to rumors."

I've always hated that response. It's like...why respond at all? I think Bethesda will say more than that, but still basically say they're not working on Fallout 4 at the moment.

I doubt anyone actually cares for "We don't respond to rumors." Which I also feel is why they say it. To give an "answer" and annoy everyone at the same time.

I was pretty excited but was waiting for confirmation so it's sad that this isn't happening right now. But seriously the guy who created the hoax did a great job. That site was amazing and the fact that he invested that much time and money making this thing is pretty impressive. If anything he put pressure on the devs to churn out Fallout 4.

Really? That's quite depressing. I was looking to see if I can get this game by next year, but since they are not going to release it, well I think I have to wait for other games instead. I have a lot on my list, I may have to scratch this off.

It takes a long time to develop games and it sounds like the process is just barely getting started. Red Dead Redemption was in production for something like three years, and Bioshock Infinite was similar in that they ended up pushing the release date. Even if Fallout 4 is announced officially, it will still be a ways away. I hope they take their time on it, though, so it doesn't matter to me. I don't really get tired of replaying Fallout 3 and New Vegas but eventually I'll want to move past them.

Fallout is one of those games I keep saying I'm going to try. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity on the XB1 in the future.

C'mon Jedi, go on and play it. Play Fallout, man. Do it now.

...that's the end of my half-assed peer pressure. So exhausted...you'll enjoy it when you get around to giving it a try, I'm sure. It's not a linear game where you're playing as a destiny character, you're playing as your character.

Even though it's clear that we are not as of yet getting Fallout 4, that doesn't mean that it won't come. It just makes it clear to the devs that there is a high demand for it, I mean look at all the free press and hype that they got on someone else's dime. Also with the way that VGX played out I'm glad it wasn't there.
