Xbox One Norway is probably going to have to wait awhile for Xbox One

If you're a Norweign gamer than my heart goes out to you because it looks like the release of the Xbox One is going to be pushed back a bit. Actually it's not just Norway, the following countries probably won't get their hands on an Xbox One until the second half of 2014: Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark. However the delay may be for other European countries that haven't received the console yet. Sad day for you guys (and not in a sarcastic way).

No Xbox One for Nordic gamers

No wonder my brother keeps ranting and asking me how I got the console. My brother is on Finland. Too bad for him. I get to tease him a lot now.

I'm glad we got our systems already lol.

Yeah, same here. haha. well I have a question though. If I buy a Xbox one for my brother in Finland and ship it there will it work right away? He's begging me to buy him one (actually asking me since the release) but I'm not sure if it will work..

It just sucks because most of Europe and Asia will have to wait until 2014 to get their hands on a next-gen console anyway but then you hear reports of extra delays. It's like once things where released in the Americas and the UK both Microsoft and Sony decided that they were basically done.

I personally do not think this delay in distribution means much for these countries, really. The console is still new to the point where games and suggested innovative programming are in the process of budding, they will likely not be very established until around this time in 2014, maybe a little sooner. It was the same with the Xbox 360, I believe, and it did not start gaining traction until it met the worldwide audience.

I guess it's ok since the people who really want the new console now will just import it, and the rest of the people are ok with waiting for a while. It's also worth noting that the X1 doesn't have too many games right now, so most people will probably be ok with waiting a bit more.

I thought it was a worldwide launch for Xbox One? I was assuming since it was worldwide, everybody else would get the console. It seems maybe when they meant worldwide, they just wanted to designate to the places they would most likely have high demand. But for the other surrounding European countries... yeah. Well, hope you guys can wait this one out.

That's a bummer for them. It blows my mind that the worldwide release of a console can span what essentially could be an entire year!

Yup, true. It's a bummer indeed. Maybe it should be called: 85% Worldwide Release, because some parts of the world still don't have the Xbox One. Ah well, many factors must be considered as to why the Nordic gamers won't have them like the rest.

Well at least they can here us confirm that it's well worth the wait!

And it's coming after all, so the Nordic gamers will still get their chance. It's just going to take a while but they'll still get it.

They just have to wait a little longer. But isn't that better? If they release it on Norway they will have more games to choose from than what we had when we first got it right?

Well i guess that's a fact but well, it ain't that much of an inconvenience on their part since the consoles were tested more this way when it was released here. That way they know what to do in case something comes up.

Oh yeah. So by the time they get it, they'll be playing Titanfall. You make a good point there. Just a few months of patience, and more games for the Xbox One gamers in Norway.

Yeah, probably even better, aside from Titan Fall they might even have Final Fantasy 15 or even Elder Scrolls Online. It will just be a few months possibly. Time flies fast anyways. You won't notice it that much, not unless you're too into the wait.

Final Fantasy is the bomb. Haha. I guess they're lucky since they don't have to wait too long for the rest of the games to come out.

This is definitely gonna be the best release even if they had Final Fantasy 15 finalized.
