Parenting Advice: How many hours should you allow your child/children to play games?

Do you have a set time? Do your kids have unrestricted gaming on the weekend and no gaming weekdays?

How many kids do you have? Is there a lot of fighting? (ie. more kids than wiimotes) do they take turns or play simultaneously?




My opinion is an hour a day after all homework and chores are done. What do you think?

Depends on how much the kid considers gaming to be their hobby. If a kid is really into gaming then all you're doing by just giving an hour a day is setting them up for some serious long term sessions in the future. Here's what I think about this and my sister and I are the test subjects. After homework/dinner is all fine and good but that's not going to get your house clean, that's not going to get the dishes done nor the lawn mowed. Let them earn some additional time through chores. I bet you've never seen a cleaner house then the one my sister and I were in.
