Come on guys, let's all get together and think of how our console is doing up until the present time. It'll be interesting to see how the opinions and ratings change over time, and rather than having an entire forum to trawl through in order to find this out, I figured it'd be better to have this sort of history in one thread, for any of us to look back on!

Personally, I think I'd rate it rather low so far. I just don't like the way they've been pushing multimedia on me. I want games, not interactivity with my TV. Not to mention that they've still forced the Kinect upon us, without actually supporting it well enough!

Up until this point the Xbox One is pretty boring. There aren't that many good games out for it and hardly any of my friends are online because they don't own one yet. Overall I have to say I am a little disappointed in my purchase so far as I have yet to see any return on my investment. I also agree with you on how Microsoft tries to constantly jam multimedia down your throat every chance they get. It is really annoying and makes Microsoft look pushy.

I honestly would give the Xbox one 8/10
Its been really good so far but i really do think there is a couple of things they could do to try and make it better such as more hd pvr support and maybe better apps.

humm...

i will say it started out with a 7/10
the lack of games at launch was rough...not reallythe lack of launch but lack of games to follow launch within the first 3-6 months. the user interface was nice but needed some key updates...

so now almost a year into its life cycle
8/10
microsoft have given some great customer service/updates... games with gold.. open the payed apps to free.. we are starting to get decent games monthly. the price drop is good to get the numbers up but dropping the kinect is hh... id rather see them pushthe tec and getit working great than to unbundle it to price drop.

i say in another year
9/10
when they get a few bigg aaa games and exclusives the dedicated servers really show the worth... we start getting cross platform next gen only games(support 360 but get off the game development on it).... directx12 hits...directx12 may not be the game changer we are expecting but i think its what xb1 was built to be on.. they knew it was comming and didn't want to wait the 2 years..

Microsoft is the Overly Attached Girlfriend of the gaming world.

Honey, why aren't you wearing that new sweater I got you? Honey, why haven't you replied to my message on Facebook? Honey, why are you watching Game of Thrones without including me?

I would have rated it a 9 out of 10 if not for the reversal for the kinect to be included and backpedaling on a few other things. I already knew with it being so new, games would be slow coming so nothing new to me there.

Now its a 7 out of 10 as I thought that with every Xbox One having a kinect it would draw more developers into doing things with it, now people will just buy on price alone and kinect is just going to die if you ask me. I am a big fan of kinect and almost ready to disconnect mine as I know its going to be close to useless soon as its still buggy and I bet no major effort now to fix it.

Perhaps a six and if I am feeling happy I might give it a seven. It should be more than a seven but there are just too many things in the way of it to happen.

An 7 out of 10 is how I'd rate the XBox One at the moment. The price is a little steep, lots of things I don't want and the game offerings are kinda weak.
But my rating is surely gonna change over time. It's a great console and it'll only get better once tech improvements are made and new games get released :D

I'd give it a low rating to it. Same for its competitor, the PS4. There just aren't enough games to make either console worthwhile at the moment. I guess they're all upcoming at this point, but nothing too great now.

Well, I guess I will sit here while I wait for D4 on Xbox One and Bloodboorne on PS4 to come out, those two will surely change my mind.

i havent bought mine as yet and im not in a rush to get it as i once was anymore. i guess it needs more games but the xbox 360 still isnt dead so i still use mine.

I wouldn't give it such a low rating. This is a new system so you have to be patient with the games and additional accessories to be available with it. I would give it a 6, although I mostly use Xbox 360 to do most of my gaming. Just wait until September when more games come out. Fall/Winter months are the best times to get new games and Xbox One should have a better selection of games available by then.

6/10 as of right now. I think I was disappointed to start off but as more games come out my number will no doubt go up.

7.5/10 right now, all it needs is some fine tuning and more games and I'm good. (they get the .5 for having GwG up so quick)

Before it was released, I would have given the Xbox One a 4/10 because of its entertainment focus, used game fiasco, and other terrible features. Upon release, I would have given the console a solid 7/10 even though it lacked very attractive and quality games, still focusing on entertainment. At this point, I'd rate it at 8/10 for content and features, but I would expect the console to get even better ratings from myself and the gaming community as a whole as time goes on.
